This production utilizes small-batch Yunnan ripe Puer that has been transported to Tongmuguan, Fujian, for specialized processing. In a traditional smokehouse, a veteran Lapsang specialist subjected the tea to a three-day pine-smoking ritual. Throughout the process, the environment was kept between 212°F and 248°F to ensure the smoke was thoroughly absorbed into the heart of the leaves.
The Experience
While the smoky aromatics remain intense and "fierce," the tea is characterized by a surprising softness once brewed. It offers the heavy, velvet-like body typical of a quality Shou Puer, but with a flavor profile reminiscent of a sweet, controlled forest fire.
