Nicaragua, Jinotego

from $19.49

A super fun lot from Jinotego. This naturally processed coffee was picked from different farms in the area, but when it was cupped (tasted) after processing, they noticed this particular picking had a very nice mango flavor undertone. It was separated out and sold as its own microlot to preserve its unique flavor profile. We get mango, honey, and peach cobbler when it’s hot, but as it cools it leans more towards ripe peaches and berries. It’s sweet and silky. Roasted light to preserve its origin nuances.

  • Region - Jinotego, Nicaragua

  • Altitude - 5,200 ft

  • Process - Natural, Dried on raised beds for 34 days!

  • Variety - Red & Yellow Caturra, Catuai, Bourbon, Pache

Why is this coffee so expensive? — I wish I had a better answer for you than this, but the shipping and tariff fees add up, so with those added onto an already expensive coffee due to its high levels of processing and attention to detail, we are forced to charge more. I can assure you our profit margins are the same on all our coffees, what you pay for is what you get! Some coffees just cost more to produce, with this one taking over a month just for the drying phase.
